Meet The Doctor

Dr. Searcy is a board certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has been practicing medicine for over 20 years. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, having completed his pediatric internship and residency at the University of California Irvine. He now resides in Ohio with his wife Cassandra and his four children. Dr. Searcy is currently an assistant clinical professor of pediatrics at The Ohio State University’s College of Medicine, Ohio University's Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a member of the Pediatric Academic Association at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Previously he served in the National Health Service Corps as a non-uniformed officer in the United States Public Health Service, and was a clinical associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh from 1991-2000.

Dr. Searcy has a special interest in pediatric-adolescent obesity, fitness, and nutrition. A life-long athlete, Dr. Searcy has over 30 years of experience in weight training, and is an active triathlete. Some of his other areas of special interest are allergy/asthma and chronic headaches in childhood.
